Emerald Butler has been fiddling on top of tables and bars since she was five years old. Cultivated by the Chattanooga mountain music scene,  Emerald began performing in front of audiences at the age of 12. However, it wasn’t until she saw the Johnny Cash biopic “Walk The Line” that her passion for Americana music became clear. Emerald began writing her own American-inspired originals at 15 years old, writing lyrics that paint pictures of nostalgia, love, heartache, and individuality. In 2018, Emerald graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor's in Music Business while simultaneously interning at Compass Records in Nashville, Tennessee. After college, Emerald earned her street cred touring with piano-rockin' Jason D. Williams and hit songwriter Roger Alan Wade. She has worked and performed with a plethora of Bluegrass and Country music artists, including Rhonda Vincent, Bobby Osborne, Bob Kingsley, Becky Buller, Alison Brown, and many more. She has shared the stage with old and new legends, including Randy Travis, Larry Fleet, The Gatlin Brothers, Sarah Shook & The Disarmers, Southern Culture On The Skids, and John Anderson. From Broadway to Beale, Emerald has performed at venues such as The Grand Ole Opry House, the Opry City Stage in NYC, Elvis Presley’s Graceland, Loretta Lynn’s Ranch, and the historic Surf Ballroom. Emerald recorded her latest project, The Sun Studio Sessions, at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. People have compared her music, style, and performance to artists like Brandi Carlile, Rosanne Cash, Amanda Shires, and even Elvis Presley.
